The paper “Balancing the Resilience and Innovation of Quad Critical Technology Supply Chains” by Akira Igata, Director of ESRP, Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology, The University of Tokyo has been published by the National Security College at the Australian National University (23/11/2023). The paper discusses the necessity for countries to enhance the resilience of critical technology supply chains while maintaining innovation. It also addresses the importance of eliminating risks from countries that have engaged in economic coercion, and preventing the expansion of disguised protectionism in the form of ‘enhanced resilience’ or ‘reduced risks.’
