According to the report by the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI), an Australian think tank, which found that China ranked first in 37 of the 44 technologies that form the foundation of the economy, society, and security, while Japan ranked first in only 4 of the 44 items. He warned that China is dominating the U.S.-China technological showdown, which may affect the military balance, and that Japan is running out of technology itself that it must protect.
