Comments by ESRP Director Akira Igata were published in the Asahi Shimbun (03.03.2023). According to the report by the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI), an Australian think tank, China ranked first in 37 of the 44 technology that form the foundation of the economy, society, and security, while Japan ranked first in only four of them. He argued that “selection and concentration” of assets and technology should be seriously considered.
