The ESRP Director, Akira Igata spoke at the “EU-Japan cooperation on economic security: Parallel paths, shared problems” the symposium held in Brussels on March 11, 2024.
During the symposium, he commented on the nature of international cooperation, including the importance of developing multilateral foreign investment regulations to avoid investing in technologies of countries of particular concern, and the need to develop a platform for the public and private sectors in Japan and Europe to exchange views to deepen their understanding of each other’s government trends and regulations.
