ESRP Director Akira Igata appeared on BS11’s “Report Live Inside Out (29/5/2024).
He pointed out that the overproduction of Chinese companies with government subsidies and the export of their products at low prices has been problematic in Western countries, especially regarding EVs and solar panels, and that the West is taking countermeasures in terms of fair competition, job retention, and middle-class support: higher tariff rates.
