A Discussion between Akira Igata, Director of ESRP, Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology, The University of Tokyo, and Mireya Solís and others has been published in Brookings.
From a Japanese perspective, he pointed out that the US strategy towards China under the Biden administration doesn’t seem to have been changed but have been even refined in comparison to Trump administration, and that there is a need to establish a mechanism for cooperation between countries in building international supply chains for semiconductors and other critical goods.
