Victor Ferguson, JSPS Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology, The University of Tokyo, has a new co-authored book chapter in the National Bureau of Asian Research’s 2023 edition of Strategic Asia: Reshaping Economic Interdependence in the Indo-Pacific. The chapter, co-authored with Darren J. Lim and Benjamin Herscovitch, is titled ‘Australia’s Reassessment of Economic Interdependence with China’. It examines “how Australia is grappling with the trade-offs of deep economic interdependence with China and the real—albeit so far limited—impacts that emerging national security concerns are having on how policymakers and economic actors think about and manage bilateral exchange.”
